Valentine's Date: Broken Music Video
Long time no blog. Lately I've been busy editing the shit out of our new music video called Broken, released today for Valentine's Day.
The last time we shot a proper and our first MV for Enigma everything went wrong from the start. We didn't get the cameraman nor the camera we were supposed to, the location wasn't good and it was freezing cold.
So this time we rented a small photography studio and Jere from In Shade did an awesome job with shooting the footage. Of course it didn't go perfectly smooth this time around either, I was hoping to have more powerful stage-like lights to create a lot darker video with strong highlights, but the studio only had flash lights for photography, which aren't well suited for video purposes. But I'm happy with the result anyways. The last couple of weeks every night after work I've been just staring at the screen putting together all the footage. TGIF! :)
Broken will be available on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon & a lot of other shops on February 26th!
Our next gig will be at Gloria in Helsinki opening for a Japanese Visual Kei duo ADAMS. The last time we were at Gloria two years ago we opened for PLUNKLOCK. See you there!

And now it's time for one week winter break from work! <3 (That means time to compose new songs!)

I think you've done a wicked job. It might not have been exactly the way you visualised it to start with but you've more than made it work; and on the plus side it makes you all stand out more against the bright white. Enjoy your week off work, an happy writing. :)

DeleteJust a little comment, hypo's style doesn't match with another personnel, Hope that the style as like your video clip "Enigma", but for the song and video are cool..... we will wait for the next song ..... :)
ReplyDeleteSure I know, we never really had a unified style. I think this is the best we have managed to sync our styles so far, you have no idea what trouble it was to get everybody to use similar clothing... :)
